Born in Cartago, Costa Rica, Marlon spent 28 years in Florida before moving to North Carolina in 2014. His experience across different communities shaped a direct, bilingual, and relationship focused approach to serving people.
2004
Early real estate experience
Marlon and his wife, Aixa Rodriguez, located infill lots for local builders in Florida. This work introduced them to land research, development needs, and the importance of understanding how a property fits a builder's plans.

Business ownership and automotive work
Marlon owned an automotive shop in Naples, Florida. He also built, raced, and tuned drag racing cars. That work required precision, problem solving, careful preparation, and accountability for the finished result.
2014
Move to North Carolina
Marlon and Aixa moved from Florida to North Carolina. Because he has made that move himself, Marlon understands the practical and personal adjustments involved when relocating from Florida to Western North Carolina.

Marlon became a North Carolina real estate broker. His earlier business, land, leadership, and negotiation experience continues to shape how he helps clients evaluate options and move through a transaction.

Marlon studied piano at Mitchell Community College. He has served in church leadership for most of his adult life, including leadership in music ministry, and he continues to play piano.
Professional preparation
Before entering real estate full time, Marlon worked as a commercial manager for a Fortune 500 company. He led teams and handled business responsibilities that strengthened his communication, negotiation, and management skills.

Marlon works alongside his wife, Aixa Rodriguez, Broker, REALTOR®, AHWD, and COO of MAR Properties, L.L.C. Aixa grew up in Puerto Rico and brings a professional background in human services, health, education, writing, content creation, and business operations.
Marlon and Aixa have worked together across real estate, business ownership, and their family farm. Aixa is also a singer and songwriter. Their shared experience influences the service, faith, accountability, and respect they bring to the brokerage.
